SCCA to Host Myrtle Beach Grade Sectional Chess Tournament

Get ready for a day of strategy, focus, and fun!

South Carolina Construction Academy High School is proud to host the Myrtle Beach Grade Sectional Chess Tournament, run by U.S. Chess Mates, on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

This tournament is open to students in the following sections:

• Grades K–1

• Grades 2–5

• Grades 6–12

Students will play 5 games, with clocks used beginning at game 20. All materials will be provided, and all participants will receive certificates and medals. Trophies will be awarded for 1st–3rd place!

Registration is required in advance through U.S. Chess Mates.
